i'd prefer the sizzling spicy pork sisig any day.
but best not to trigger my already impassive gallbladder.

this tofu sisig recipe is as good as it gets.

i. mise en place
thawed tofu | cut into cubes | 2 blocks
* freezing makes spongy tofu that absorbs liquids well!
cornstarch | enough to coat the tofu
bellpepper | diced | the sky's the limit
onion | diced | tstl too
ginger | minced / grated | tstl
garlic | minced | tstl
finger chillies | sliced thinly | tstl all the way
cooking oil
soy sauce | 3T
brown sugar | 1T
oyster sauce | 2T
water | 3T
calamansi | juice of 10 pieces
pepper and salt | a pinch
calamansi | cut into halves | tstl!
